The Companhia Docas do Ceará will offer free public visits to the Japanese Navy's Kashima and Shimakaze ships next Saturday (06/09).
How to schedule
Interested parties must make an appointment in advance on the website visita.docasdoceara.com.br .
Another scheduling option is through the CDC website, which directs you to the link in the “schedule ships and visits” icon, which is in the quick access section.
When accessing the website, click on the "details and scheduling" button, which will be on the first page and will lead interested parties to choose a time.
There are two options: 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm.
Places will be limited.
About registration
Those interested can list how many people will be in the reservation and everyone must complete the registration, with the following information: responsible person's email, visitor's full name, date of birth, document and document number, telephone number, zip code and whether or not they have any special needs, since access to the ships is via a ramp, with steps.
Once registration is complete, people will receive a booking confirmation via email, with a QR CODE.
For security and organizational reasons, only those who register will have access to the vessel.
Service:
Visitors are advised to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time.
Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes and cannot bring bags or pets, nor can they carry firearms.
Reservations will begin to be made tomorrow, 09/04, at noon.
Meet the ships
Kashima
The Kashima is considered Japan's premier training ship and was built specifically to train new officers. The vessel fulfills a diplomatic role on voyages around the world.
Shimakaze
The Shimakaze was built in 1988 as a warship and, decades later, converted into a training vessel. The visit to Brazil is part of an international voyage combining naval exercises, cultural exchange, and closer ties between Japan and partner countries.
